Reposted from...November 2005

Enjoy these Google Insights....
  • If you put ~ in front of search term Google will search for your keyword and all synonyms of the keyword
  • Click here to see the results of this search: ~inexpensive travel
  • If you put "define" in front of your search Google will provide definitions for the word
  • Click here to see the results of this search: define algorithm
  • If you put "intitle:" in front of your search term Google will find websites with these words in the title.
  • Click here to see the results of this search: intitle: american intitle: history
  • You will get webpages with your keywords in the title. (This is how you enter a title field search)
  • Note that Google defaulted to a Boolean OR search and therefore found websites with either search string in the title.
Thanks to Pam Berger for the above tips!
